PPV.com Releases Canelo Alvarez vs Jaime Munguia PPV Price
Patrick Breen/The Republic / USA TODAY NETWORK

It has been promoted as a premier event, and on May 4, Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez will face Jaime Munguia to celebrate Cinco de Mayo weekend on Prime Video PPV & PPV.com. Recently, PPV.com posted what this fight will cost you, the consumer, and that’s $89.99. Although Prime Video has not posted the event on their platform with their price, the inaugural PPV saw both platforms having the same price for the event. This price point exceeds the undisputed welterweight title fight ($84.99) between Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr in July 2023.

Canelo and Munguia are in their respective training camps getting ready for their May fight, and although boxing fans haven’t given Munguia much of a chance up to now, that is starting to change little by little as we get closer to fight night. It’s no secret that Munguia’s humble but playful character draws people in to support him and his career so don’t be surprised if the crowd on that night is split 50/50.

Early betting odds favor Canelo, but those backing Munguia will rush the sportsbooks late to try to move the line.
