He is one of the best shooters in the transfer portal.

Dayton transfer Koby Brea is down to five schools. He is an elite perimeter threat who has played four years of college basketball but is listed as a junior. His cut list is one of the best you’ll see, as he is now considering UNC, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, and UConn. No matter what, he will attend a blue-blood.

Three-Point Threat

On the season, Brea shot 51.2% and 49.8% from three. Of the 201 threes he took, he made 100. That is as good as it gets. Brea led the nation in three-point percentage. The next closest was fellow North Carolina portal recruit Cade Tyson, who made 46.5% of his shots behind the arc.

On the year, Brea averaged 11.1 points and 3.8 rebounds in 29.1 minutes per game.

Successful Season

Leading the nation in three-point percentage is an honor on its own. Brea dealt with injuries in both his redshirt freshman and junior seasons. This year, he was healthy, and it showed, as for the second time in his career, Brea was named sixth-man of the year in the A-10 conference.

Tar Heels Looking For Shooting

This development means that North Carolina has looked into the top two shooters in the country. Tyson visited Chapel Hill this past weekend. There is a clear need to add perimeter threats with Cormac Ryan out of eligibility, Harrison Ingram in the draft, and still no word on RJ Davis.

Will the Tar Heels land Brea?
