Son of former NBA All-Star linked to transfer to North Carolina or Kentucky

Andrej Stojakovic, the son of former NBA All-Star Peja Stojakovic, is attracting plenty of interest after entering the transfer portal.

Stojakovic is being pursued by multiple blue blood programs, according to Jeff Borzello of ESPN. He has already visited Cal and has also received interest from Kentucky, North Carolina and Michigan. Creighton, Washington, USC and Louisville are also involved.

A former McDonald’s All-American, Stojakovic played his freshman season at Stanford last season, where he averaged 7.8 points and 3.4 rebounds per game. Clearly, he showed enough flashes that top programs are interested in him, especially since he should only get better as he gets older.

Kentucky and North Carolina are certainly the biggest names on the list. The Wildcats are rebuilding under a new head coach, though their ambitions are as high as ever. North Carolina is in better shape thanks to the returning RJ Davis, so if Stojakovic is after a national title, that may be his best choice.
