Burrito Express has officially entered the NIL space.

The Mexican chain restaurant announced on Monday that it will sponsor two Arizona State student-athletes through a NIL program. Football player Elijhah Badger and softball star Jazmine Hill will receive support in cash, clothes, and of course, burritos, according to the press release.

“Mark and Angel of Burrito Express love supporting their local communities and always look for unique ways to give back,” said a Burrito Express representative. “When they saw that ASU sports were taking a hit due to transfers to other universities with NIL opportunities, they knew they had to step in and help out.”

The NIL deal with Badger and HIll will provide them much-needed financial support, per the release. Since Arizona State students are already big fans of Burrito Express, the company decided to expand its support to the school’s athletic programs.

“We know that college students need good food to keep them going, and we’re proud to provide that for ASU’s student-athletes,” the representative said.

Burrito Express will host a signing ceremony for Badger and HIll on Wednesday. The restaurant is inviting all Arizona State fans to come out and celebrate with them and they promise free burritos for all of those who attend.

“We’re thrilled to be supporting these two amazing athletes, and we can’t wait to see what they’ll accomplish on the field and on the diamond,” the representative said in the press release. “And who knows — maybe some of that burrito power will rub off on them, too!”
