The American Football Coaches Association released their All-America teams on Thursday night for several levels of college football. In FBS, only one player from the Group of Five was recognized on the first team as a specialist.

Lou Groza Award winner Graham Nicholson was the one who earned that honor.

The only other G5 player to be named to the first team was Air Force defensive back Trey Taylor.

Nicholson, a junior, made at least one field goal in every game this year. Nicholson made 25 consecutive field goals in the 2023 season, tied for the most ever in FBS. After the MAC title game, Nicholson's totals were up to 26 makes on 27 attempts for field goals and 35 makes on 36 attempts on PATs. His longest make was from 52 yards out. His only field goal miss came in the MAC title game. Nicholson was still named Special Teams Player of the game, which the RedHawks won, giving them their first league title since 2019.

Nicholson announced earlier this month that he will return to Miami in 2024 for his senior season.

Miami and Appalachian State face off in the Cure Bowl on Saturday, December 16 at 3:30pm ET on ABC.
