Penn State Blue-White Game Takes Center Stage | Nittany Lions Digest

Welcome to Nittany Lions Digest, the newest segment/feature for Nittanycentral where we will highlight notable things that is going on with Penn State Sports. It has been a very busy week for Penn State on the football, and basketball side of things. Some highlights are below:

Penn State Football injury:

Penn State Football Head Coach James Franklin did confirm the report that QB Jaxson Smolik had a “significant injury” and will be out for a “period of time.”

Blue-White Game

The 2024 Blue White Game will kickoff from Beaver Stadium on Saturday at p.m., information for those who are attending Parking lots will open at 8 a.m. Admission to the Blue-White Game is free. Fans will enter through gates A, B, C, and E, which will open at noon The gameday traffic pattern will be in effect for the Blue-White Game. Beaver Stadium Block Party, taking place on Curtin Road between University Drive and Porter Road, begins at 9 a.m. on game day and will run through 6 p.m. Fans can enjoy free activities for all ages including rides, live music (Adam and the Armadillos from 10-11:30 a.m. and Velveeta from 4:30-6 p.m.), free inflatables, face painting, caricature drawings and more. Carnival games are pay-to-play and will be cash only. Food vendors will accept both cash and credit cards. Fans will also have a chance to pick up a copy of the 2024 Football Spring Poster at the marketing table while supplies last. Team arrival is scheduled for 11:40 a.m. If you can not make it to Beaver Stadium, the game will be LIVE on Big Ten Network James Franklin would explain that this year Blue White game is going to be “more of a traditional spring game” in other words, he is getting players ready that can play “Big Ten games on either side of the ball and on either sideline”
