Stanford pass catcher Elijah Higgins selected by the Miami Dolphins in the 2023 NFL Draft
USA TODAY Sports

Stanford's successful draft class continues as wide receiver Elijah Higgins heard his name called in the 2023 NFL Draft.

The speedy wideout who may switch to a hybrid tight end/wideout was selected in the sixth round, similar to his quarterback Tanner McKee. Unlike McKee who will be going somewhere where it's cold in the winters, Higgins will be heading to sunny Miami as the Dolphins picked him in the sixth round the No. 197 pick.

Higgins found the perfect home being that Mike McDaniel is one of the best offensive minds in football, and was the reason Deebo Samuel was used in the fashion the 49ers used him. Higgins has the chance to be a matchup nightmare thanks to the combination of size and speed.

In four seasons at Stanford, Higgins grabbed 119 catches for over 1,300 yards while adding six touchdowns.
