Watch: Jayden Daniels' heartfelt message to LSU fans

Jayden Daniels said he gave the LSU Tigers his all, and that's hard to disagree with.

Daniels threw for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns with just four interceptions. He also rushed 135 times for 1,134 yards and 10 touchdowns.

That's 4,946 total yards and 50 total touchdowns, which made him the easy choice for the 2023 Heisman Trophy award.

Unfortunately for LSU fans, moving forward, Daniels' incredible 2023 season will all have to be a sweet memory. He has his future to consider, and that future will include skipping LSU's bowl game in order to focus one the 2023 NFL Draft.

In a video posted to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, the quarterback did give a heartfelt goodbye to LSU, though.

"I want to say thank you to everyone who made this happen, but all great things must come to an end. No matter what, I promise this will not be the last time ya'll see "that kid" around, because this is my city and my second home. I love ya'll and I'm proud to be a California Bayou boy," Daniels said.

Daniels spent his first three collegiate seasons at Arizona State before transferring to LSU.

He'll leave the college ranks having thrown for 12,749 total yards and 89 total touchdowns with 3,307 rushing yards and 34 career rushing touchdowns.
