23 actresses we'd love to see in a 'Golden Girls' remake

Jane Lynch was the gift that kept on giving on Glee, so there’s no doubt that her brand of sarcasm would not make her a must in a roommate setting.

So it’d be interesting to see her deliver a new classic character to love.

Diane Keaton is more of a movie star, but a change of pace on the small screen might be her best role yet.

Most notably known for her role as the often crazed Lois on Malcolm in the Middle, fans might rejoice in seeing her being able to take a chill pill for once. In this Golden Girls’ universe, she’d play an older Lois who is still dealing with a handful of insane sons…and grandsons.

Whenever there is a need for a woman of a particular age, the right choice is always the icon herself, Rita Moreno.

If Michael Myers ever wants to hang it up, Jamie Lee Curtis would be free to roam onto TV.

In all honesty, if the cast of Friends ever wanted to make even more money off the franchise, they’d just reunite in their golden years and collect $1 million per episode for another decade.

It’d be hard to get Oscar-winner Michelle Yeoh in the cast, but it’d be worth it.

Not every friend group needs that overtly sexual dynamo, but if Jennifer Coolidge is going to be in the crew, then the overtly sexual dynamo is necessary.

Of course, anything Sheryl Lee Ralph does next would have to be scheduled way in the future since she’s pretty busy owning it on Abbott Elementary.

Sometimes, it’s hard to place an actor in a new role because all fans ever see is their biggest, but, um, that’s not the case with Katey Sagal, seeing as how she’s managed to kill it on a handful of shows in a wide variety of leading roles. So, what’s one more?

If there was one person to embody the Southern Belle of retirement in the 21st century, please let it be A Different World's Jasmine Guy.

The blending of her characters from Mom and I, Tonya on a remake of The Golden Girls would be epic.
