Is an Oprah tell-all interview in Britney Spears' future?

Oprah revived the live primetime celebrity interview in a big way earlier this month when she sat down with Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, for a revelatory conversation that included bombshell after bombshell. 

Like at least 17.1 million other people, Britney Spears watched. The 39-year-old is reportedly interested in becoming Oprah's next tell-all guest.

"Britney has considered speaking out about her past, mostly because she doesn't feel others should tell her story," an unnamed source told Entertainment Tonight. "She's always hated doing interviews, but if she ever takes that step, Oprah would most likely be her first choice. At this point, there is no plan in the works for her to do an interview but when she does, there will be steps Britney would need to take before speaking out."

There is a renewed interest in Spears' personal life following February's The New York Times Presents documentary Framing Britney Spears, which reexamined the damaging media coverage the 39-year-old pop icon faced in the early 2000s as well as her controversial ongoing conservatorship that placed her father, Jamie Spears, in charge of her finances and person in 2008.
