Justin Hartley teases what's to come on 'This Is Us': 'Kevin has a lot of decisions to make'

The sixth and final season of This Is Us is nearly upon us, and the anticipation is at an all-time high.

Justin Hartley, who has played Kevin Pearson since the beloved drama's 2016 debut, chimed in on during a new interview with Haute Living.

"Kevin has a lot of decisions to make, and that will be part of the beginning of the final season," the 44-year-old actor teased. "We’ll be seeing how he navigates his circumstance with Madison, with his kids, not going through with the wedding. His love life, his career, his family, his mother, all that stuff. It’s like a line in the sand: before this moment and after this moment. He’s a changed man. He’s got a lot more responsibilities now, certainly, than he used to."

"The character has changed so dramatically from the time I started playing him [in 2016] to now," Hartley continued. "He’s almost like a different person, but at the same time, if you took him apart, you would still recognize him. When I think about that now, I think, What parts of him are exactly the same? I keep coming back to his heart. That would still be recognizable from moment one, season one, until the last moment of season six."

As for the last moment of This Is Us, Hartley believes fans "will be pleased — beyond satisfied" with how the Pearsons' stories wrap up, even though he doesn't "think it's all fully written."

The sixth season premiere of This Is Us will air next Tuesday (Jan. 4) beginning at 9 p.m. EST on NBC. Watch the official trailer as well as the first-look teaser below.
