Ryan Reynolds describes Salma Hayek slapping him for 'The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard'

And the award for realest slap goes to Salma Hayek.

During this Facebook Live session with IMDb, Ryan Reynolds was asked whether Hayek or Samuel L. Jackson enjoyed slapping him more for their upcoming film The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard, in theaters June 16.

"I think Sam enjoyed it more," the 44-year-old actor said. "I mean, he had kind of a look of sublime pleasure that crossed his face that I had not previously seen in the 20-odd years that I've known him.  I feel like Salma felt much worse because she actually connected, you know?"

Reynolds continued: "Her tiny little hand just hooked right into my orbital bone—right around my eye there. I remember just suddenly my glasses were off, and a sound that left my body. Maybe it was a sound that came out of my soul. ... It was really something. She really put her legs into it."

Hayek, also present on the Facebook Live with director Patrick Hughes, then defended herself: "I had one direction from the director for this take: aim it everywhere, you can hit him everywhere, except the glasses. And that is exactly where I hit him! I didn't try to. I just had bad aim with my hand."

The Hitman's Bodyguard originally released Aug. 18, 2017, and starred Reynolds as bodyguard Michael Bryce, who is assigned to protect hitman Darius Kincaid (Jackson). The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard again centers around Michael and Darius, though now they are friends and tasked with saving Darius's wife, Sonia (Hayek).

Both films were directed by Hughes.

Gary Oldman and Richard E. Grant each also reprised his role for the sequel, while Morgan Freeman was added to the cast.
