‘The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial’ With Lance Reddick & Kiefer Sutherland Sets Premiere (PHOTOS)

The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial follows a U.S. naval first officer who’s standing trial for orchestrating a mutiny after his captain shows signs of becoming unhinged and jeopardizes the lives of his crew.

At the beginning of a naval court-martial, skeptical naval lawyer Barney Greenwald (Clarke) agrees to take on the defense case of Lt. Steve Maryk (Lacy), a first officer of the navy who is standing trial for taking control of the U.S.S. Caine, from its domineering captain Lt. Philip Francis Queeg (Sutherland) during a violent storm in hostile waters.

As the trial unfolds, Greenwald becomes embroiled in uncovering the truth about what occurred aboard the vessel, questioning if it was true mutiny or the courageous acts of a group of sailors who no longer trusted their unstable captain.

This is just the latest adaptation of Wouk’s play which has been made for the screen more than once in 1954 with Humphrey Bogart and in 1988 with Jeff Daniels and Eric Bogosian among others.

Annabelle Dunne and Matt Parker serve as producers on the film with Michael Salven and Mike Upton executive producing the project distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
