The most memorable TV moments of 2019

This one is really two-fold. First, it's the scene in the Season 4 finale of Lex revealing to Lena that her best friend Kara is Supergirl. Duh doy, Lena. Come on. But then it's also the scene in the Season 5 episode where Kara finally (but too little too late) reveals the truth to Lena. The latter made for terrific performances for both Melissa Benoist and Katie McGrath, especially with the later reveal that Lena (honestly, understandably) has not forgiven Kara.

What exactly was Meryl Streep -- and her fake teeth -- doing in Season 2 of "Big Little Lies?" Who's to say?!

Remember the way Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper looked at each other during this performance? It was both hot and awkward. That's what makes something memorable!

Technically, the reason was the Oscars not properly vetting Kevin Hart for his homophobic tweets and his non-apology apology. But the solution could've been properly vetting a host? And then the Emmys did the same thing because it became all the rage.

With the return of Ricky Gervais as host for the upcoming Golden Globes, it's no longer the rage, thankfully.

Well this one just got in under the wire, as the first three (of five) episodes aired at the end of this year. It would've been insane to believe at the beginning of the decade that DC Comics' "Crisis" would find its way to the screen in live-action -- and done well, especially since, at the beginning of the decade, "Smallville" was in its final seasons, still avoiding telling a real comic book story. And now we have a "Crisis" that doesn't just include The CW's Arrowverse: It includes past and present DC (live-action and animated... brought to live-action) properties like "Lucifer," "Birds of Prey," "Smallville" Tim Burton's "Batman," "Batman: The Animated Series," and even "Superman Returns." Imagine that.

Where were you the moment Baby Yoda revealed itself? Were you on social media, just minding your business because you didn't even subscribe to Disney+? Most likely! But television changed that fateful day, admit it.

It seems that no matter how you felt about the "Veronica Mars" Hulu revival as it went on -- whether you enjoyed it or not -- none of that mattered once Rob Thomas ("Cupid," "Veronica Mars," "Party Down," "iZombie" creator, not Matchbox 20 frontman) decided to blow up bad boy-gone-good Logan Echolls. And right after he'd finally gotten Veronica to marry him. "Veronica Mars" is now also officially dead (maybe for good this time, considering), so you can just consider the first three seasons, feature film, and book canon... but it still stings, you know?

"Mr. Robot" was never going to end all sunshine and roses, but you know, who would've expected Angela's death at the beginning of the series? Well, no one, because she seemed pretty far removed from all the chaos and conspiracies going on. But once it was revealed just how deep into all of it she was, it was pretty much a ticking clock until she met her untimely demise. And meet it, she did.

Well, this one just speaks for itself. (Especially when you're breaking the fourth wall and your Hot Priest notices.) Much like Baby Yoda, where were you when you first experienced the high that is the Hot Priest?

This didn't actually happen on television, but it's definitely something when the lead of a television show goes on social media to complain about their television show getting renewed. It's another thing when they then go on social media to apologize and explain for their behavior and, bafflingly, include the phrase "believe women." Never forget.

Some people might say that Kendall Roy's rap on "Succession" was the most awkward moment in television history. They are wrong, and it's actually the best thing that happened on television all year. Sorry, Baby Yoda. Much love to Kendall's boy Squiggle.

Congratulations to Kendall Roy for providing two of the most memorable moments in all of television in 2019: the rap for his father and then stabbing his father in the back so greatly... *chef's kiss*

Also, it would probably be wrong to have any more "Succession" moments after these two -- despite the show very much deserving it -- but if there were another one, it would definitely be "Boar on the Floor."

There were plenty of memorable moments in "Russian Doll" but perhaps none funnier than Natasha Lyonne's Nadia's feud against the stairs during her never-ending time loop.

In the penultimate season of "Supernatural" -- in its 300th episode -- Jeffrey Dean Morgan (looking very much like JDM now and now JDM years ago) returned one more time to fully say goodbye to both the boys and his wife Mary (who had already come back to life). Admit it, you cried. Surprising, considering how much of "Supernatural" has been dedicated to showing what a bad dad John actually was, but it happened.

If someone asks you if anything cool happened in the final season of "Game of Thrones," you can point to Arya finally vanquishing The Night King. Sure, it was much easier than it should've been, but...

If someone asks you if anything cool happened in the final season of "Game of Thrones" other than Arya finally vanquishing The Night King, you can say no. Everyone else will agree with you. The most memorable thing about the final season of "Game of Thrones" is how much nobody liked it, after all.

Selina Meyer was always a bad guy, but since she was the titular "Veep," she was a bad guy you had to root for. Plus, there were certainly worse people than her. But then in the final season, she betrayed the one person who always had her back (because he always had her back): Gary. She made him the fall guy for her scandals, when all he ever did was love her. Shame.

This was the episode in which "Barry" went 100% surreal, and while it came out of nowhere (and was only slightly addressed in later episodes), it was absolutely enthralling to witness. It's still amazing just to think about Barry vs. that demonic little girl.

While the "L to the O-G" from "Succession" is Actually Good, "A Little Bit Alexis" is great because of how bad it is. Bad, yet totally appropriate given the 2000s era the song was supposed to have been recorded in. The moment in the episode isn't enough though, so if you haven't listened to the full recording of the song, have at it.

In the final season premiere of "Jane the Virgin," Gina Rodriguez performed a six-page monologue, in an episode directed by herself. It was one of those moments, just watching it, you could slowly realize just how special it was.

Season 4 of "Superstore" ended with an ICE raid, with the comedy of trying to hide Mateo quickly becoming something far tenser, and ultimately ending the season on an extremely heartbreaking note. For a show as lowkey as "Superstore," you wouldn't expect such an emotional punch, but it pulled it off perfectly.
