Tom Holland swears Andrew Garfield, Tobey Maguire aren’t in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’: ‘No one believes me’

The official trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home released Tuesday night and revealed a compromised multiverse that welcomed back past villains such Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Electro (Jamie Foxx) and Otto Octavius (Alfred Molina).

Dafoe's Green Goblin was first introduced in the 2002 Spider-Man film starring Tobey Maguire. Molina's Doc Ock first arrived in the Maguire-led 2004 sequel, while Foxx's Electro is known from Andrew Garfield's run as Spider-Man in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in 2014.

Even so, current Peter Parker/Spider-Man Tom Holland swears that Garfield and Maguire will not make cameos in No Way Home.

"No one believes me, but they’re not in the film," Holland, 25, told GQ in his new "Man of the Year" profile.

Holland debuted as the iconic superhero in 2016's Captain America: Civil War before fronting director Jon Watts' take on Spider-Man across Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019) and now No Way Home.

The latest installment, due in theaters Dec. 17, is the last in Holland's contract.

"Maybe it is time for me to move on," the British actor said. "Maybe what’s best for Spider-Man is that they do a Miles Morales film. I have to take Peter Parker into account as well, because he is an important part of my life. If I’m playing Spider-Man after I’m 30, I’ve done something wrong."

Holland later posited that he "might do Spider-Man 4, 5, and 6, finish when I’m 32, and never make another. I’m not sure what I want to do."

For now, watch the No Way Home trailer below.
