Watch Bruno Mars 'be extra' at his Grammys after party

Bruno Mars is a man of his word.

Mars and Anderson .Paak of the newly formed duo Silk Sonic performed their debut single "Leave the Door Open" at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night, then Mars left the door open to their dressing room. "Grammys listen, I promised I wouldn't be extra at the show, BUT I never said anything about the after party... #LetSilkSonicThrive and #LeaveTheDoorOpen," Mars captioned an Instagram video Monday afternoon:

In it, the 35-year-old shimmies off his jacket before snatching a liquor bottle and retreating to the couch in dramatic (and highly amusing) fashion.

The "Leave the Door Open" performance was Silk Sonic's first time playing live, and it did not disappoint:

Mars and .Paak also used their time on the stage to pay tribute to Little Richard, who passed away last May from bone cancer at 87 years old:

Silk Sonic's debut album is on the way, but .Paak earned a Grammy for his solo efforts Sunday. The 35-year-old won best melodic rap performance for his protest anthem "Lockdown," bringing his Grammy total to four. Mars has won 11 Grammys as a solo artist, and 24K Magic was his last released solo project.
