The Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show added a good rock element to it, according to an announcement made yesterday. Multiple media outlets are reporting that Katy Perry’s partner for the halftime show is rock legend Lenny Kravitz.
Kravitz rose to fame with hits like “Are You Gonna Go My Way?”, “Fly Away” and his cover of “American Woman.” Lately, Kravitz has been in the...
Chart-topping singer Katy Perry will team up with Grammy-winning guitarist Lenny Kravitz as she headlines the Super Bowl XLIX halftime show on NBC on February 1.

Later today the Green Bay Packers will take on the Dallas Cowboys for the right to play in the NFC Championship game. No matter which team wins, they’ll likely end up getting steam-rolled by the Seattle Seahawks, who look as destined to appear in the Super Bowl as Katy Perry’s hair extensions. The scourge of Katy Perry has already destroyed ESPN College Gameday; she’s coming to get the Super Bowl next.
Maybe it’s too late. Last year was the year that the Super Bowl officially jumped the shark and went from compelling to over-marketed, over-hyped corporate crapola.

Sorry, Katy Perry — Trevor Knight is spoken for.
Perry made an appearance Saturday on ESPN’s “College Gameday” and professed her love for the Oklahoma quarterback, urging the 20-year-old to call her. Knight, who has a girlfriend, has done no such thing.

Singer and songwriter Katy Perry — who ranks No. 3 on the 2014 Maxim Hot 100 list of the sexiest women on the planet — is not only one of the best-selling artists of all time, she’s also a pretty darn good college football prognosticator. Katy Perry topped off her Saturday by hugging the Ole Miss mascot. Perry jumped onto the Rebel Black Bear and was spun around.
Earlier in the day Perry appeared on ESPN’s College Game Day where she brought corn dogs and later tossed the Alabama mascot head off of Lee Corso.
To a lesser extent Perry also told Oklahoma quarterback Trevor Knight to call her. Hmmm… let it be known...
Because when I think pop star Katy Perry, I think SEC football.
The musical sensation and multi-colored hair enthusiast will be the guest picker for College Gameday’s first appearance at Ole Miss.
It all started with Kirk Herbstreit, a tweet to which Perry actually responded.
HELL YEAH! DAMN RIGHT! @KirkHerbstreit @CollegeGameDay #HOTTYTODDY
