TUNNEL HILL — Cincinnati had many high-level prospects commit to them throughout the 2024 recruiting class and some of them are already enrolled with the Bearcats.

One of the members of that enrollee list is wide receiver, Kale Woodburn.

Woodburn is from Houston County High School in Warner Robins, Georgia. He is a 5-foot-9, 155-pound, three-star recruit according to 247Sports.

Strengths:

  • Route Running: Right away it was easy to notice that he can be a dominant route running. He fools defenders with his quick cuts and misleading head fakes, which ultimately help create separation. Some of the better route-running abilities I’ve seen in the class.
  • Speed: Very fast. Breakaway-to-the-third-level fast. He is the fastest guy on the field most of the time.
  • Hard Cuts: Although this goes hand and hand with route running this was too good not to talk about in its own category. He is electric and I mean ELECTRIC when stopping on a dime and cutting. This helps him in those out-route situations and makes his quarterback’s job so much easier by making those throws to the outside.

Areas To Improve:

  • Physicality: Although his frame is a bit smaller you don’t see him going up and getting many tough contested catches. You will see him relying a lot on his speed and ability to get open.
  • Frame: Even if he doesn’t stack inches to his frame, adding some weight would be huge. This should come over time, but is something noteworthy moving forward.
