Chris Russo has undefeated Rays shockingly low on his power rankings

Chris the "Mad Dog" Russo revealed his latest "Top 10 MLB Power Rankings" on Friday morning on MLB Network's "High Heat."

Despite an historic 13-0 start, the Tampa Bay Rays aren't at the top of the list. They aren't even in the top three.

While the Houston Astros are the defending World Series champions, they're off to a slow 6-7 start. Yes, it's still early and the baseball season is a marathon, but if the Rays still have the best record in MLB and the Astros are hovering around .500 at the end of April, it'll be inexcusable to have Houston at the top.

The New York Yankees (8-5) are tied with the Toronto Blue Jays (8-5) for second place in the AL East but are already five games behind Tampa Bay due to their record-tying opening to the campaign.

If Russo was thinking along the lines of keeping the defending pennant winners at or near the top of the ranking until the end of April, perhaps that could've been reasonable. However, the Philadelphia Phillies (4-9) are rightfully nowhere to be found in the top 10.

Instead, the NL East-leading Atlanta Braves (9-4) are third on the list, which makes sense, as they are tied with the Milwaukee Brewers and Minnesota Twins for the second-best record in baseball. Adding to his inconsistencies, Russo not only has the 13-0 Rays underrated in fourth place, but he has the Brewers and Twins in ninth and 10th in the ranking respectively.
