Chris Taylor Reveals the Best Part About Playing for the Dodgers
USA TODAY Sports

There are a lot of perks that come with playing for the Dodgers, including living in Los Angeles, playing on one of the most historic MLB franchises and playing for one of the most popular organizations.

For Dodgers super utility man Chris Taylor, the Dodgers' winning ways trumps all other factors as to why he enjoys playing on the Dodgers.

“Best part of playing for the Dodgers is you know they’re gonna do everything they can to win each and every year," Taylor said in an interview with Doug McKain of dodgersnation.com. "We’re very confident we have a championship winning team, and we’re very we’re gonna be there when it’s all said and done at the end of October. I look back at all my best memories, and they’re all in the postseason."

The Dodgers certainly have an incredible winning track record, making the playoffs in each of the last 11 seasons. They are coming off a 2023 season in which they had the third-best record in MLB and won 100 games despite it being a year embracing the youth movement

Though they naturally wish they had more than one World Series title to show for it over this span, it's certainly nice for players to always be in contention and playing for something late in the year.

"The regular season is great, but it means so much more when you’re playing in October and everything is heightened," Taylor said to McKain. "I truly believe there’s no better feeling than winning games in October, and I’m just very thankful to be on an organization that is there each and every year.”

Outside of the joys of winning for Taylor, this Dodgers track record has also helped attract top free agents, such as superstar Shohei Ohtani. When Ohtani chose the Dodgers over several other willing bidders, he cited his desire to win as one of the main reasons behind his decision.

Adding in players like Ohtani this offseason should only improve the Dodgers odds at winning — and hopefully in making it further in the postseason.
