Chris Taylor Says 2024 Dodgers Have More Excitement Than Any Other Team He's Been With
USA TODAY Sports

The end of the Los Angeles Dodgers' historic offseason is near. The front office has assembled what looks to be a star-studded roster with the additions of players like Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Shohei Ohtani, among others.

Naturally, hype around the team is reaching all-time highs, especially with the 2024 season steadily approaching. Within the clubhouse, players aren't immune to the sense of anticipation.

This week, utilityman Chris Taylor recently discussed the excitement heading into the season.

“It certainly seems that way," Chris Taylor told Doug McKain of DodgersNation.com when asked if this is the most talented team he's been on. "It’s definitely the most excitement for any year. When you sign players of that caliber, everyone’s gonna be excited and everyone’s gonna be gunning for you at the same time. We’ll embrace that, for sure. I think the players are just as excited as the fans are, and we’re ready to get going.”

The Dodgers are already one of MLB's most consistent contenders over the last decade, making the playoffs every season since 2013 and winning a World Series in 2020. However, aside from their lone championship, in 2020, the Dodgers have fallen short of another title despite — not because of — the talent on their roster.

With additions like Yamamoto and Ohtani to a team already filled with talent like Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman, it's World Series or bust for the Dodgers in 2024.

Fans will get an early glimpse of their team this Saturday at DodgerFest before pitchers and catchers report next Thursday. Spring Training is less than two weeks away, and the regular season starts early this year. The Dodgers play the San Diego Padres in Seoul, South Korea on March 20.

It's the first step in a long journey, one the team hopes will result in a championship.
