Dodgers' David Peralta, Chris Taylor exit due to injuries
Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Dodgers saw a pair of players depart their Friday game against the visiting San Francisco Giants as left fielder David Peralta was removed in the second inning and third baseman Chris Taylor left in the fourth.

Peralta was injured while beating out an infield single in the second inning. He stepped awkwardly on the bag with his left foot, stayed in the game temporarily but was replaced in the lineup by James Outman in the third inning.

Taylor, who was dealing with right knee pain, was replaced by pinch hitter Michael Busch.

It has been an injury-plagued start to the season for the Dodgers, who just saw third baseman Max Muncy go on the injured list on Friday with a left hamstring strain. Shortstop Gavin Lux was lost for the season with a knee injury while the rotation is currently without injured starters Walker Buehler, Dustin May, Julio Urias and Noah Syndergaard.
