Ex-Dodger James Loney sends very interesting tweet about Alex Cora
Nick Turchiaro-USA TODAY Sports

A former Los Angeles Dodgers player sent a very interesting tweet about Alex Cora on Tuesday.

James Loney, who was drafted by the Dodgers in 2002 and played in the Majors with them from 2006-2012, said Cora treated him “wonderful” when he was with the Dodgers. What’s notable is that Loney said that while Cora has a reputation for being a great guy in baseball, Cora “always tried to gain an edge in anyway (sic) possible.”

It sounds like Loney was not a fan of the Astros cheating.

Loney, now 35, last played in MLB in 2016. Cora was named by MLB as the mastermind behind the Astros’ sign-stealing strategy. The manager was fired by the Red Sox on Tuesday and awaits punishment from MLB, which is pending the league’s investigation of the 2018 Red Sox.
