MLB best bets, strikeout props for Friday 9/15: This Wade Miley prop is worth the juice

Our four-week strikeout prop winning streak seems to be coming to an end, as we went 1-1 with a rainout on Thursday night to stay three games under .500 for the week. We can still scratch out a push for the week, so let's limit the damage with my three favorite K props for Friday's MLB slate.

Wade Miley under 3.5 Ks (-156 FanDuel)

This is one of the juiciest prices I've ever given out in this column, but I think it's still one strikeout too high. Wade Miley has gone under 3.5 Ks in 13 of his 20 starts this season, and now he's facing one of the best lineups in MLB against left-handed pitching. The Washington Nationals have the second-lowest strikeout rate against lefties this season (20.3 percent) and the second-fewest strikeouts in the league over the last 15 days. Lay the juice on the under here.

Zack Greinke over 2.5 Ks (+120 DraftKings)

Full disclosure — this is a terrifying pick. The Houston Astros have been the hardest team in MLB to punch out of late with their league-low 17.1 percent strikeout rate and 5.9 strikeouts per game over the last two weeks. Zack Greinke and his 6.0 strikeouts per nine innings don't sound like the antidote, but the Kansas City Royals right-hander has gone over 2.5 Ks in four of his last six starts. Houston's recent hot streak at the plate has pushed this line too low, so we'll take a chance on the +120.

Chase Anderson under 3.5 Ks (-112 FD)

The San Francisco Giants offense has been hot and cold all year, and it's starting to heat up again. San Fran has the highest batting average (.305) and the lowest strikeout rate (15.8 percent) in MLB over the last week. Meanwhile, Colorado Rockies starter Chase Anderson has gone under 3.5 Ks in four of his last five starts and six of his last eight, plus he's giving up an average of 4.75 earned runs per game over that span. We're expecting a short start for Anderson on Friday night.
