Welcome back, home run hunters. We've got a full slate of baseball on deck with all 30 teams around MLB on the schedule Tuesday, so let's target some plus-money HR props and hope for a juicy winner.
I absolutely love this spot for Pete Alonso. In 11 career plate appearances against Julio Teheran, the Polar Bear is hitting .714 with two doubles and two home runs. Alonso is one of the premier home run hitters in MLB this season with his 24 long balls, and this is an ideal matchup for him to add to that total.
Cincinnati Reds starter Andrew Abbott is off to a hot start to his MLB career. The left-hander is 3-0 with a 1.14 ERA through four starts, but he also gave up three solo home runs in his last appearance. Adley Rutschman is hitting .298 and slugging .857 against lefties this season and ranks fourth on the Baltimore Orioles in home runs with 10. Ballpark Pal projects a 26 percent boost to home runs at Oriole Park at Camden Yards Tuesday, and Rutschman is my favorite pick to take advantage of the friendly hitting conditions.
You knew we had to throw in a Coors Field pick, right? Elias Diaz ranks second on the Colorado Rockies with nine home runs this season, and he has an encouraging history against Clayton Kershaw. In 12 career at-bats against Kershaw, Diaz is hitting .500 with a homer and two doubles. This is a solid price at the most home-run-friendly ballpark in MLB.
