Morgan Wallen didn't accomplish the goal with consecutive weeks, but with the One Thing at a Time album returning to the number one spot on the Billboard 200, Wallen just broke Garth Brooks' long standing record.

Wallen now holds the record for most weeks at number one by a country album.  Brooks held the spot with his Roping the Wind album when it stayed on top for 18 weeks during 1991 and 1992.

According to Billboard, the Country album list began being tracked in 1964.  With the 60 year history, Wallen has accomplished quite a feat.  The album debuted at number one in March of 2023 and spent a consecutive 12 weeks in that spot.

For 53 weeks, the album has never dropped below number six on the list.  The incredible record breaking album ended 2023 as both the Number one year-end Billboard 200 album and Luminate's year-end top album.

One Thing at a Time is just the third album for Wallen.  The first was released in 2018, If I Know Me, the album debuted at number 11 on the US Top Country Albums and at number 72 on the US Billboard 200.  Ultimately his first album was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

His sophomore album, Dangerous: The Double Album, was released January 2021.  The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and broke multiple records.

The third album, One Thing at a Time, just breaking Brooks' record this week, had an equivalent of 68,000 sales in the United States, including 90 million streams and 2,000 copies sold as a complete album, according to tracking service Luminate.

The multi-platinum, award-winning, record-breaking artist looks to continue his ways with the release of his fourth album.  One that has not been announced yet, but that Wallen has confirmed he is working on.  Fans and critics alike can look forward to some collaboration with the now popular Post Malone.
