Recently, Kolten Wong has been the center of a lot of Brewers rumors. Earlier in the offseason, the Crew picked up his option for the 2023 season. However, there is a lot of speculation that he will be traded prior to Opening Day. The Seattle Mariners reportedly have been calling to check in on Wong’s availability. Now, you can add the Chicago White Sox as a team linked to the two-time Gold Glove-winning second baseman.
Bruce Levine, a baseball analyst for WSCR-AM and 670 the score, indicated that there is a link between Wong and the Chicago White Sox.
This morning on @670TheScore, @MLBBruceLevine linked the #WhiteSox to Milwaukee second baseman Kolten Wong. Would be a solid addition but outfield is the bigger need.

The White Sox declined their option on Josh Harrison. They do have infielder Leury Garcia on their depth chart. Garcia is a veteran player who does not hit for a high average or a ton of power. Wong is a better offensive option. He also has a high ceiling in regard to his defensive ability so long as he can put last year's blunders behind him.
The White Sox do have an internal option in prospect Lenyn Sosa to fill the need at second base. White Sox front-office staff could lean toward adding a veteran like Wong. If they desire to go that route, they would have to acquire Wong through trade with the Brewers.
