Watch: Jose Altuve breaks out of slump with solo home run in Game 3 of ALCS

Globe Life Field is Jose Altuve's playground.

The Astros second baseman snapped out of his postseason slump in a big way during Game 3 of the ALCS.

In the top of the third inning, Altuve hit a solo home run off Rangers pitcher Max Scherzer to extend Houston's lead to 4-0.

During the regular season, Altuve had 10 hits in 32 at-bats at Globe Life Field, seven of which were home runs.

Included in that stretch was his three-home-run performance on Sept. 5

The home run was also Altuve's 25th of his postseason career, inching him closer to Manny Ramirez for most postseason home runs (29).

Altuve was 0-for-8 in the ALCS entering Game 3 and flied out to center in his first at-bat. His reawakening on the road is exactly what Houston needed after it lost the first two games of the series at home.

The trick for Houston going forward is getting the same performance from Altuve - and the rest of the team - at home.
