Plenty of fans took to social media upon the release of openings odds for the UFC 300 fight between Deiveson Figueiredo and Cody Garbrandt.

After concluding his bounce-back year with two victories over unranked competition, the most recent of which came over Brian Kelleher at UFC 296 last month, former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt made a big callout.

"No Love" outlined his desire to return to the top 10 at the expense of Deiveson Figueiredo, the former flyweight kingpin who debuted at 135 pounds with a victory over Rob Font in December.

Garbrandt got his wish for UFC 300, with CEO Dana White confirming the bout for the historic April 13 event last week.

Talk about the matchup quickly turned to the opening odds, which left many surprised. The lines from DraftKings initially had Figueiredo as a -148 favorite and Garbrandt as a +124 underdog.

The odds have since shifted to -310 for "Deus Da Guerra" and +250 for "No Love," which many appear to see as a more accurate reflection of the matchup.

Upon the release of those odds, a host of mixed martial arts enthusiasts gave their takes on social media, with the majority appearing to back some sizable bets on Figueiredo.

Others, though, warned against fans counting Garbrandt out. Although "No Love" has experienced a fall from grace since his title win in 2016, he's entering 2024 riding a much-needed win streak.
