During the UFC's seasonal press conference, things got heated between middleweight champion Sean Strickland and his next opponent, Dricus Du Plessis.

Towards the end of the conference, the South African challenger took serious shots at the 185-pound champ about his abusive past that got under his skin. Before that, however, the mood was mostly jovial.

In the early moments of the presser, Strickland joked around with his opponent through harmless jokes revolving around Du Plessis' relationship with his coach.

Strickland specifically referenced Du Plessis' fight with Brad Tavares where, in between rounds, his coach checked that his cup was still in place.

What started as a bit of a joke back-and-forth between them eventually led to the champion using a homophobic slur aimed at his opponent and his corner.

'Rampage' Jackson Gives His Take After Watching Dricus Du Plessis' Coach Check His Cup In The Middle Of A Fight

On a recent episode of the Jaxxon podcast, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson was joined by welterweight contender Gilbert Burns.

"Durinho" gave his account of the brawl between Strickland and Du Plessis at UFC 296 which he and his family were caught right in the middle of.

They also watched and gave their opinions on the actions of Du Plessis' coach in that now infamous clip. (Timestamped in the video below)

"Rampage" made it clear that he doesn't see eye-to-eye with that particular procedure, going on to say that he would fire his coach if he were put in the same scenario.

"Bro that's in-between rounds, you don't gotta cup check like the cup was already checked. And the commissioner said 'get your sissy a** outta here', he pushed him out."

"Okay this is my theory, I accept everybody for however they want to be but I think that we got young men watching and they can get kind of confused and they think MMA fighters are, you know what I'm saying, not straight."
