Uros Medic is a Force
Jeff Swinger-USA TODAY Sports

Poor Tim Means (33-16-1) didn’t stand a chance against Uros Medic (10-2) on Saturday. The Oklahoma native was demolished in the first round, being taken down by punches. In turn, the “Doctor” suddenly became a welterweight threat.

How so? The sudden takedown of a UFC veteran means the Serbian fighter can beat anybody quickly. With one body blow, Means fell immediately, with the entire MMA universe put on notice.

So what makes Medic a dangerous individual? How does he cause havoc in the UFC ring? Here’s a breakdown of what makes the Serbian welterweight dangerous, down to his past fights.

Uros Medic Can End a Fight Quietly

With Saturday’s overwhelming victory over Tim Means, Uros Medic proved he is a legit threat. But that fight also proved he can quietly end fights, making him even more lethal.

But what does this mean? It signifies he doesn’t need to take a big swing at his opponents to win. With a doctored quick uppercut to the midsection, Medic sent Means to the ground. As mentioned earlier, that ended the fight in the first round, making matters more impressive.

With quietly lethal strikes, the welterweight knows where to hit his opponents. He can strike the foe’s weak points effectively, striking them at any given opportunity. The result? Fights suddenly end and Medic is the victor.

Uros Medic’s Other Strengths

Another thing that makes Uros Medic dangerous is his adaptability. In his past fight against Jalin Turner, Medic was constantly taken to the ground. In turn, he got worn down quickly, taking away his striking ability and leaving him open to the opposing attack.

The “Doctor” learned not to waste any time, taking away any chance for Means to take him down. He went on the offense early and landed his uppercut, winning the fight after.

Uros Medic showed he isn’t a welterweight to be taken lightly. Currently, the Serbian MMA fighter is outside the Top 15 in the welterweight rankings. However, Medic should be turning heads after his dominant victory, proving he can take on all comers in the UFC.
