With the Philadelphia 76ers in need of players to step up, Kelly Oubre Jr. has delivered in a big way. His recent string of performances off the bench have landed him in some exclusive company.

Since Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey have been out of action, it's opened opportunity for other players to do more offensively. One person who has made the most of this is Kelly Oubre Jr. Through the Sixers' recent stretch, the veteran forward has provided a massive scoring punch off the bench.

Oubre kicked off this run against the Dallas Mavericks, notching 21 points in a victory. He followed that up by going for a season-high 30 points in a nail-biting loss to the Brooklyn Nets.

On Wednesday night, the Sixers once again found themselves in a tight matchup. This time against the Memphis Grizzlies. Following a subpar fourth quarter, they ended up dropping the matchup by a final score of 115-109. Oubre once again delivered a strong performance, scoring 25 points.

With this streak, Oubre joins a short list of players in Sixers history to score 20+ points off the bench in three straight games. The most recent person to do it was Thaddeus Young back in 2011. Other notable names on the list include Andrew Toney, Darryl Dawkins, and World B. Free.

In his first season with the Sixers, Oubre has thrived as a microwave scorer off the bench. This season, he is averaging 14.4 PPG, 4.5 RPG, and 1.2 APG. As the Sixers continue to weather the storm of missing their stars, they'll need hot streaks from Oubre and others in hopes of staying competitive.
