LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers aren’t in a great place right now after losing two straight games to the Denver Nuggets in the first round. As a result, NBA analyst Charles Barkley took his time and preached an ugly truth to the Purple and Gold.

Similar to their previous encounters, the Nikola Jokic-led squad went home with the 101-99 victory over the Lakers. Denver’s All-Star big man finished the game with a crazy triple-double of 27 points, 20 rebounds, and 10 assists. Michael Porter had a good shooting night when he connected 61 percent of his field goals toward a 22-point performance. And even though he didn’t shoot the ball well that night, Jamal Murray’s 22 points and the game-winning shot proved to be key to the Nuggets’ Game 2 win.

On the other hand, Anthony Davis had another big game for the Lakers when he dropped 32 points, 11 rebounds, and two assists. LeBron James made 26 points, eight rebounds, and 12 assists, while D’Angelo Russell made up for a bad Game 1 performance by contributing 23 points and six assists.

The win placed Los Angeles in a deeper hole than before as getting a win in the Nuggets’ homecourt could have given them an advantage in the series. However, they’re now closer to elimination with Denver needing only two more wins to close the Lakers out.

Charles Barkley Gets Real on Los Angeles Lakers Amid Game 2 Loss to Denver Nuggets

Countless takes were thrown out after Murray’s thrilling jumper sealed the deal for Denver in the dying seconds of Game 2. For Charles Barkley, though, there’s something the Lakers have done time and time again in every instance they lose a game. In a tweet shared by NBA on TNT’s official X account:

Just recently, James blasted the league’s Replay Center and how Game 2 was officiated. For his part, Anthony Davis briefly spoke to the media and dropped a short message before walking out on them.

These two incidents only highlight Barkley’s take on the Lakers’ attitude whenever they lose. Hopefully, the coming games of the series will be much better for the Purple and Gold.
