Former Indiana Pacers guard and fan favorite Lance Stephenson will play his basketball in Puerto Rico going forward.

The 10-year NBA veteran played for the Pacers and Atlanta Hawks during the 2021-22 season but didn't ink a deal with any team in the ongoing campaign. Now, he will take his talents to Leones de Ponce of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN).

The team announced the signing on Instagram, adding that he will debut for the club today.

Stephenson averaged 8.3 points and 3.6 assists per game in his most recent NBA season, in which he played 46 games. He will turn 33 later this year.

At his best, the veteran guard was a force in the NBA. He was a fringe All-Star level player in 2013-14 as he averaged 13.8 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. Indiana reached the Eastern Conference Finals that year.

"It's go time" Stephenson said of the signing on his Instagram story.

Other former NBA players, including Brandon Knight, Hassan Whiteside, and Sheldon Mac have played in the BSN this season.
