Kevin Durant, Draymond Green blame Steve Kerr, Bob Myers for Warriors' breakup

It is pretty darn clear that Draymond Green and Kevin Durant have moved on since their on-court spat in a 2018 game against the Los Angeles Clippers that sparked a media circus.

That didn't stop the former Golden State Warriors teammates from discussing the debacle in a recent sit-down and pointing fingers at Golden State's higher-ups for turning the argument into a vehicle for Durant's departure.

In an interview posted to Bleacher Report this week, Durant and Green blamed Warriors head coach Steve Kerr and GM Bob Myers for not interjecting and trying to help fix the situation. Green asked Durant outright if it was the fight itself that drove him to sign with the Brooklyn Nets.

"It wasn't the argument," Durant responded. "It was the way that everybody, Steve Kerr, acted like it didn't happen. Bob Myers tried to just discipline you and think that would put the mask over everything. I really felt like that was such a big situation for us as a group, the first time we went through something like that. We had to get all that s--t out...

"We tried to dance around it. I didn't like all that, just the vibe (around) all that."

Green added that the bigwigs insisted he apologize to Durant, then ultimately suspended him for the following game when he didn't comply.

"I said, 'The only person that can make this right is me and K," Green recalled. "And there is nothing that y'all can do, and y'all are going to f--- this up.' And in my opinion, they f---ed it up."

Thankfully for hoops fans everywhere, things weren't messed up so bad that Durant and Green couldn't be Olympic teammates years later to help Team USA take home gold — or to sit down for that one-on-one, for that matter.
