Kevin Knox’s Contract With Trail Blazers a Camp Deal

In other words, Knox is fighting for a spot on the roster, and if he doesn’t make it right away, will likely head to the Rip City Remix, Portland’s new affiliate in the G League.

Knox, 24, is 6-foot-7 and has bounced around a little bit since entering the NBA as the No. 9 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. He spent the first three-and-half seasons of his career with the Knicks, followed by stints with the Hawks and Pistons. 

He was traded to the Trail Blazers in February, appearing in 21 games and averaging 8.5 points and 3.3 rebounds, shooting 44 percent from the field.

The Blazers could use a little depth at the forward positions, so you’d think Knox will get a real shot, given that he seemed comfortable and played fairly well in Portland at the end of last season.
