Key Player Ruled Out For Trail Blazers-Clippers Game

On Monday evening, the Portland Trail Blazers  will face off against the Los Angeles Clippers in California. 

For the game, they will be without one of their best players, as Jerami Grant has been ruled out. 

Grant has missed each of the previous two games, so this will be his third straight out of the lineup. 

Via Underdog NBA: "Jerami Grant (concussion) ruled out for Monday."

Grant has played in 19 games so far this season and is averaging 22.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per contest while shooting 43.7% from the field and 41.2% from the three-point range.  

The Trail Blazers are the 14th seed in the Western Conference with a 6-15 record in their first 21 games. 

They are in the middle of a three-game losing streak and are 3-7 over their last ten games. 

Most recently, the Trail Blazers lost to the Dallas Mavericks by a score of 125-112 (in Oregon) on Friday. 

Following the Mavs, the Trail Blazers will host the Utah Jazz on Thursday evening. 

As for the Clippers, they are 11-10 in their first 21 games, which has them as the ninth seed in the Western Conference. 

They are 7-3 over their last ten games and in the middle of a three-game winning streak. 

Most recently, the Clippers beat the Utah Jazz by a score of 117-103 on Friday in Salt Lake City. 

Following the Trail Blazers, the Clippers will play their next game on Tuesday evening when they visit the Kings in Sacramento.
