Lakers' Kentavious Caldwell-Pope robbed at gunpoint

Los Angeles Lakers guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was involved in a scary incident last week.

According to TMZ Sports, Caldwell-Pope was robbed at gunpoint in Los Angeles on June 17, with thieves stealing $150,000 worth of jewelry and valuables, including a Rolex and his iPhone.

Caldwell-Pope was hanging out in his driveway around 4 a.m. with a few friends when a car pulled up with three men who demanded he give them his valuables. Luckily, the 28-year-old didn't suffer any injuries.

The Los Angeles Police Department is now investigating the incident, but so far, they have not found the perpetrators.

Caldwell-Pope recently signed a three-year, $39 million deal with the Lakers in 2020. He had a solid 2020-21 season with the Purple and Gold, averaging 9.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game while shooting 43.1% from the field and 41% from deep.
