Rudy Gobert suggests Victor Wembanyama might still be getting taller

When the San Antonio Spurs drafted a 7-foot-4 unicorn in Victor Wembanyama, it quickly became apparent that his skillset and size were unlike anything seen before in the NBA. But according to fellow 7-footer Rudy Gobert, Wembanyama also may not be done growing just yet.

It's a scary proposition for the rest of the NBA, and as Timberwolves reporter Dane Moore revealed, he asked Gobert if he believes Wembanyama has gotten taller throughout his rookie season. Apparently, the thought has crossed Gobert's mind, and he doesn't entirely believe the rookie phenom is done growing just yet.

Wembanyama has been a force on both ends of the floor this season, averaging 20.6 points, 10.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 3.3 blocks and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 46.6% from the field.

Including Tuesday night's matchup between the Spurs and Timberwolves, Wembanyama has now tallied at least four blocks in four consecutive games while notching an absurd 10-block triple-double on Feb. 12 against the Toronto Raptors. He finished that night with 27 points, 14 rebounds and 10 blocks while knocking down 10-of-14 attempts from the field.
