It's always fun when a fan favorite makes their return to the city they started their career in. Cedi Osman was an important piece to the Cleveland Cavaliers' rebuild. He played six seasons with the Cavs and was beloved by both his teammates and fans.

However, Osman was a part of the trade that landed Max Strus this past offseason ending his time with the Cavs.

Sunday marked the first time since being traded that Cedi came back to Cleveland. He was a fan favorite and the crowd made sure that he knew that. The organization played a tribute video for Osman after the first stoppage in play in the first quarter and then showed him on the jumbotron.

Cedi received a nice ovation as he waved to the crowd and showed his appreciation for his time in Cleveland.

Before the game, J.B. Bickerstaff made sure to show his gratitude for Osman in the energy he brought to the floor and in the locker room. He also emphasized that Cedi is a good person in his heart which is just as important as being a good NBA player.

Osman played six seasons with the Cavs. Over that time he averaged 9.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists a game while shooting 46% from the floor and 36% from behind the arc.

This season with the Spurs he's averaging 7.5 points while shooting 46% from the field. His role in San Antonio is primarily as a role player only starting in one game this season.

It's clear that as long as Osman is in the league, he'll get an ovation when he returns to where his career started.
