Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown got each other’s back during game one of their playoff win over the Miami Heat. Moreover, there was an altercation with the Heat’s Jaime Jaquez Jr. as the game ended.

A leaked audio revealed how Jayson Tatum mocked the Miami Heat rookie for making a fuss about a strong foul on him during the transition. He went on to ask if he felt the need to cry, a video which has now gone viral.

Afterward, Caleb Martin allegedly wanted payback when he hip-checked Tatum while going for a rebound. Jaylen Brown then came to his partner’s defense before having his back-and-forth with Martin. 

The Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat once again renewed their rivalries as they have clashed on multiple occasions during the playoffs, and with Jimmy Butler ruled out due to injury, the Heat were ripe for the taking. The C’s took game 1 with Tatum putting up an impressive triple-double of 23 points, ten rebounds, and assists, while Brown, on the other hand, came up with 17 points, eight rebounds, and three assists.

Just as the opening playoff game between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat was drawing to a close, Jayson Tatum had an injury scare after he collided with Heat’s Caleb Martin and landed heavily on his hip. After the game, he said he was ok and acknowledged that he was not expecting the game to be an easy one.

The aggressor, Martin, asserted that he had no ill intentions when he body-checked the Celtics star.

Tatum, who notched his first career playoff triple-double, rose to the occasion and led his team efficiently. Luckily, his initial altercation with Jaime Jaquez didn’t result in him having a bad injury, as the C’s need him now more than ever to take home the NBA title.
