2023 Jets Country Player Profile: CB Bryce Hall (37)

Bryce Hall did not see the field much during his third season with the New York Jets. 

The 2020 fifth-round draft pick made 17 starts in 2021, but was pushed down the depth chart when Gang Green added veteran D.J. Reed and highly-touted draftee Sauce Gardner during the 2022 offseason.

Hall registered only 15 defensive snaps in five games last year after participating in 98 percent of the plays in 2021.

The 6-foot-1 cornerback played sparingly in the 2022 season opener, allowing a touchdown reception to the Baltimore Ravens' Devin Duvernay. Hall was subsequently listed as a gameday inactive each of the next 10 weeks.

Hall returned to action for the Jets' final four games in 2022, but his playing time came exclusively on special teams with the exception of 10 defensive snaps in the season finale.

With the Jets starting him out of necessity, Hall totaled 1,169 snaps as a member of the 2021 defense, which eventually underwent a much-needed offseason makeover. Hall did not make an interception in any of his 17 starts and opposing passers accounted for 106.6 rating when targeting him.

As a rookie in 2020, the UVA product made eight appearances, including seven starts, and picked off one pass.

In 30 career games, the 26-year-old Hall has been charged with permitting 10 touchdowns. He allows 7.44 yards per target and opposing quarterbacks own a 100+ passer rating against him.
