Three-time Pro Bowl offensive lineman Andrus Peat has signed a new contract with the Las Vegas Raiders. Peat, a former first-round pick, spent the entirety of his career with the New Orleans Saints.

The versatile Andrus Peat had a strong finish to his contract in 2023. After starting the season in a reserve role, the offensive lineman stepped into a starting role following a disappointing start to the season by Trevor Penning. Appearing in 16 games while making 12 starts, the offensive lineman finished the season with a 60.2 PFF grade while playing 715 snaps at left tackle and 89 at left guard.

Andrus Peat originally entered the NFL as a first-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. Selected by the New Orleans Saints, the Stanford product transitioned to guard after spending his college years at tackle. After entering the season as a backup, Peat quickly earned a starting job as a rookie before suffering a leg injury. In total, he played in 12 games during his inaugural campaign while making eight starts.

Peat built on the success of his rookie season to claim a starting spot in 2016. He never relinquished this role, starting in all 15 games in which he appeared. Interestingly enough, while he mostly played guard, he temporarily filled in at tackle while Terron Armstead was battling injury.

The offensive lineman finally made his postseason debut in 2017. Starting in 14 games, Peat helped guide the team to the playoffs but suffered a broken fibula during the Wild Card game, ending his season. Fortunately, he returned to full health in 2018, kickstarting a three-year run of Pro Bowl selections. Over this time, the offensive lineman appeared in 36 of a possible 48 regular season games, but the team was never able to make it to the Super Bowl during the final years of the Drew Brees Era.
