Bills' Josh Allen donates $17K to hospital, bringing total fan donations to $500K

Buffalo Bills fans honored Josh Allen's deceased grandmother in a big way this week by donating $483,000 to the Oishei Children's Hospital in her memory. The donations now have totaled half a million dollars thanks to the Bills quarterback himself.

Allen revealed on Twitter on Friday that he donated $17,000 to the hospital, bringing the total donations to $500,000. The donations came in $17 increments — for Allen's jersey number — so it's only fitting that the QB donated a whopping $17K to the cause.

Allen has made frequent visits to the hospital since being drafted by the Bills in 2018 and helped raise money for the facility through his cereal and a collaboration with New Era.

The 24-year-old learned of his grandmother's death less than 24 hours before taking the field for the Bills on Sunday. He balled out against the Seattle Seahawks, too, tying a career-high with 415 passing yards and four total touchdowns in a 44-34 win.
