The Dallas Cowboys invited an international star to tour The Star in Frisco this week, welcoming in Formula 1 racing driver Sergio Perez, winner of six F1 Grand Prix races.

According to DallasCowboys.com , Perez met with Dak Prescott and with fellow Mexico native Isaac Alarcon, a defensive lineman for  Dallas, who added a personal touch to the tour.

"I'm really impressed with the facilities," Perez said. "I've always thought there was training on the physical side. But I have never seen anything like it in my life and it is incredible to see the level of detail and how much strategy there is in this sport."

A star for Red Bull, Perez is the second-overall driver in the F1 standings this season and finished as the sport's third-best driver in 2022. And he found similarities in his success and the Cowboys' strategy.

After Perez had a brief interaction with defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, Alarcon told Perez about how the Cowboys are known for an aggressive defensive style. This mentality resonated with Perez. And he expressed how he sees himself in the Cowboys' willingness to attack.

"I'll be the attacker," Perez said. "We have a lot more in common than what I first thought. Because the amount of strategy that's involved and the amount of preparation before the game. We have a lot of similarities."

According to the team, the meeting was initiated by the partnership between the Cowboys and Ford, a brand that's joining Perez's team in 2026.
