Demarcus Ware’s HOF display ruffled the feathers of Cowboys fans

Nine-time Pro Bowl edge-rusher Demarcus Ware spent nine of his 12 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, which makes the lack of anything Cowboys-related in Ware’s display at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio quite puzzling.

A Denver Broncos jersey is featured prominently as the centerpiece of the exhibit, which also features a gold football honoring his Super Bowl 50 championship, a helmet to commemorate his time at Troy University, a medal honoring his Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year award and a small white and navy football that denotes Ware as Dallas’ all-time leader in sacks.

Needless to say, many Cowboys fans expressed their outrage once a photo of Ware’s HOF display started making the rounds on X, formerly known as Twitter.

And their frustration is more than justified. After all, more than 80 percent of Ware’s 138.5 career sacks and 666 career pressures come with the Cowboys, per Pro Football Focus. As did seven of his nine Pro Bowls and all seven of his All-Pro selections.

As the face of the Cowboys defense, Ware led the league in sacks twice (20 in 2008, 15.5 in 2010) and tackles for loss three times (27 in 2008, 21 in 2010, 26 in 2011).

While he did spend the last three years of his career in Denver, Ware logged just 122 pressures, 81 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, 24 QB hits, 21.5 sacks and three forced fumbles over 37 games. However, he did make two Pro Bowls and won his lone Super Bowl.
