Drew Brees is without question one of the most accomplished quarterbacks in NFL history, but who knew the New Orleans Saints superstar could seriously bring it when rocking the figurative mic?
According to teammate Cameron Jordan, Brees can bring “straight heat” when he unleashes a cappella freestyle raps in the locker room.
During an appearance this week on Bleacher Report’s “The Lefkoe Show,” the Saints defensive end gave a shout-out to Brees for his arguably surprising MC talents.
We need the track, @drewbrees…

The notion that Brees has the ability to pump his Saints teammates with some fiery locker room antics hardly comes as a surprise, but the notion that he occasionally does so with freestyle rapping? Well, that’s certainly something.
At 41, Brees obviously is entering the twilight of his outstanding NFL career. While he will be back for at least one more go-round in 2020 — under the assumption the upcoming season plays out as planned — he will be literally working with the help of a microphone once his playing days are over. It was confirmed last week that Brees has signed a broadcasting deal with NBC that will go into effect once he announces his retirement.
