Eagles fans receive positive update amid A.J. Brown news
Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles have ruled out two players for Monday's wild-card matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Wide receiver A.J. Brown (knee) and safety Sydney Brown (knee) will be unavailable.

The good news is that safety Reed Blankenship (groin) has a chance to play.

Blankenship did not participate this week, but head coach Nick Sirianni won't rule him out just yet.

And in even better news, quarterback Jalen Hurts was a full participant again on Saturday and did not receive an injury designation for game day.

Below is the Eagles' latest injury report from Saturday's practice:

Injury Report Observations

  • Hurts took it easy to start the week but was at full speed by Saturday.
  • Smith continues to trend in the right direction with his ankle and will play on Monday, which is huge considering Brown is out.
  • Slay returned to practice again this week after missing Week 18's loss and will make is officially his return to the lineup just in time for the Eagles' playoff run.
  • With Blankenship and Brown dealing with injuries, cornerback Avonte Maddox took reps at safety this week.
  • [Sydney] Brown is done for the season with a reported ACL injury.
