Former Eagles WR Olamide Zaccheaus signs with NFC East rival
Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Another Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver won't be returning in 2024.

Last week in NFL free agency, Quez Watkins found a new home with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and this week Olamdie Zaccheaus has signed with another team.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Zaccheaus has agreed to terms with the Washington Commanders

Now, the Eagles will see Zaccheaus on the opposite sidelines when they face each other twice a year.

Zaccheaus will reunite with head coach Dan Quinn, who initially signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2019 while at the Atlanta Falcons.

He will also join ex-Eagles offensive coordinator Brian Johnson, who is Washington's new passing game coordinator/assistant head coach.

Zacchaeus saw action in every game last fall with one start, catching 10 passes for 164 yards and two touchdowns. He also helped out on special teams.

In five total seasons, the former Virginia star has appeared in 72 career games with 24 starts and has logged 104 receptions for 1,492 yards and 10 touchdowns.

The Eagles were not too eager to re-sign Zaccheaus or Watkins to a new deal as they look to revamp their wideout room alongside A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.

Instead, the team signed free agent wide receivers DeVante Parker and Parris Campbell to one-year contracts so far, and you can expect them to add more receiving weapons in this year's draft.
