Former Falcons All-Pro to announce Day 2 draft pick

The first round of the NFL Draft is in the books, and the Falcons came away with Bijan Robinson, arguably the most talented player in the class. Day 2 is tonight, and the Falcons have one pick in each of the second and third rounds, but Rodger Goodell won’t announce the selections. Former All-Pro John Abraham will announce one of Atlanta’s picks.

Abe helped turn the Falcons into a championship contender, helping the team to four playoff appearances in seven seasons. He was voted to five different Pro Bowls and named to three All-Pro teams.

Abraham was the model of consistency, recording at least 10 sacks in eight out of his 15 career seasons and nine sacks in 10 seasons. His 133.5 career sacks put him ahead of Hall of Famers Claude Humphrey, Derrick Thomas, and Charles Davis.
